DESCUBRIENDO OPORTO.RUTA DE TIENDAS Y LUGARES ESPECIALES.DISCOVERING OPORTO.SHOPPING TOUR AND SPECIAL PLACES.

Oporto es una de las ciudades con más  mas encanto de Portugal. Con una clara influencia inglesa, la ciudad tiene una gran cantidad de lugares y espacios para visitar.

Si tenéis poco tiempo para visitar Oporto, lo mejor es alojarse en un hotel céntrico a partir del cual podréis moveros cómodamente por toda la ciudad.

Os recomiendo el  Hotel Infante Sagrés es un hotel muy céntrico, elegante, con una gran tradición y con un servicio excelente.

Para descubrir Oporto, nada mejor que empecéis por un recorrido en barco por el rio Duero, tendréis unas vistas increíbles de la ciudad. Descubriréis los dos lados de Oporto y sus increíbles puentes que unen Oporto con Gaia (lugar donde están concentradas todas las bodegas de vino).

En cuanto a gastronomía la ciudad cuenta con una amplia variedad de restaurantes donde podréis tomar una de las especialidades de la cocina portuguesa, la sopa y el bacalao. Os recomiendo que pidáis el caldo verde.

Lo podéis acompañar de bacalao a la lisboense ( bacalao desmigado con patata).

En el restaurante del Hotel Porto Palacio puedes disfrutar de una comida excelente con unas increibles vistas de la ciudad.

Oporto cuenta también con un gran número de comercios y tiendas donde los más fashionistas podéis encontrar un nuevo universo del shopping. Muy cerca del Mercado do Bolhao se encuentra La Rua Santa Catarina, una de las calles más comerciales de Oporto. En ella encontrareis una gran cantidad de tiendas.

Otra zona de shopping es la zona de la Loja. Es el barrio cosmopolita y artístico donde hay un gran número de galerías de arte y tiendas tan características como A Vida Portuguesa. Una tienda inspirada en los años 40 y 50. En ella podéis encontrar desde  jabones inspirados en los años 40 ,ropa y todo para la decoración de tu casa.

En esa misma zona se encuentra también la librería Lello e Irmao.

La decoración de esta librería inspiró a JK Rowling para crear al personaje de Harry Potter.

Si queréis hacer un break durante vuestra ruta turística en Oporto, podéis descubrir cualquiera de los cafés donde podréis degustar un rico café portugués. Podéis acompañarlo con los típicos dulces portugueses, los pasteles de Belem. Os recomiendo el Café de Paris, cerca de la estación de San Bento, donde en este pequeño palacio podréis encontrar gran variedad de dulces y los famosos pasteles belem.

Oporto es una ciudad viva, que también ofrece una gran diversidad cultural. Si sois amantes de la música, os recomiendo visitar la Casa da Música.

Un edificio en pleno centro de la ciudad donde podéis contemplar  un edificio modernista donde lo más característico son las salas que componen el edificio.

Sin duda, Oporto  una ciudad mágica y con mucho encanto que siempre os sorprenderá.

DISCOVERING OPORTO. SHOPPING TOUR AND SPECIAL PLACES.
Porto is one of the most charming cities over Portugal. With an english influence, the city has a lot of places and spaces to visit.

If you have little time to visit Porto, it is best to stay in a downtown hotel from which you can comfortably move you around the city.
I recommend you the Infante Sagres Hotel, is centrally located, elegant ,with a long tradition and excellent service.

To discover Oporto nothing better for you to start a boat trip down theDuero river, you will have incredible views of the city. Discover both sides of Porto, and its incredible bridges, connecting Porto with Gaia (where are concentrated all the wineries).

For dining, the city has a wide variety of restaurants, where you can take one of the specialties of portuguese cuisine, soup and cod. I recommend you the green soap.

You can eat this soap  with a  lisboense cod (cod crumbled with potatoes).

In the restaurant of the Hotel Porto Palace you can enjoy great food with stunning views of the city.

Porto also has a large number of shops and stores where you can find  the world of shopping for tha fashion lovers.
Near of  the Mercado do Bolhao you can find  Rua Santa Catarina . Rua Santa Catarina is one of the most commercial streets of Porto. Here you will find a lot of shops.

Another shopping area is the area of Loja. It is the cosmopolitan and artistic neighborhood, where you can find  a large number of art galleries and shops such as A Vida Portuguesa. A store inspired by the 40 and 50. Here you can find everything from soaps, inspired by the 40, clothes, and everything to decorate your home.

In the same area is also Lello and  Irmao library.

The decor of this library inspired JK Rowling to create the character of Harry Potter.

If you want to make a break during your tourist route in Porto, you can find any of the coffe shops, where you can taste a rich portuguese coffe. You can accompany with typical portuguese sweets, cakes of Belem. I recommend you to visit the Cafe de Paris, near the Sao Bento station, this small palace where you will find them a variety of sweets and cakes famous Belem.

Porto is a lively city that also offers great cultural diversity. If you love the music I recommend you to visit the  Casa da Musica, a building in the heart of the city where you can see a modernist building.

The most characteristic are the rooms that make up the building.

No doubt that the city of Porto is a magical  and charming city, that always will surprise you.

3 EVENTOS EN UN DIA. 3 EVENTS IN 1 DAY.

Tener 3 eventos en un mismo día no es nada fácil de llevar. Hace falta organizarse muy bien para poder estar en todo.

El jueves pasado parece que el universo se puso de acuerdo para coincidir en Madrid varios eventos a los que tuve la oportunidad de asistir y  participar.

El primer evento fue la presentación del showroom Basicat . Este showroom situado en Serrano conto con una inauguración de lujo. En él se presentaron las colecciones para este otoño invierno de  varias firmas internacionales procedentes de países como USA, Japón, Rusia, España ó Australia.

La presentación tuvo lugar en un marco incomparable un espacio en el que cada marca tenía su propia habitación privada y en la que cada marca presentaba sus propuestas.

Diseñadores como Paola Hernandez de Nueva York, Sant Augustine Academy de Australia,Los Vladimirovic de Rusia, Komoro-Gae de Japón  fueron algunas de las firmas internacionales que se presentaron en este espacio.

La siguiente parada fue el desfile de la marca de la diseñadora Covadonga de Mi Vestido Palestino.

Covadonga que es la diseñadora de la marca presento una colección muy original compuesta de vestidos, corpiños, camisetas, faldas y accesorios como boinas. Todo ello realizado con pañuelos palestinos.

Y, por último, la fiesta del 25 aniversario de la revista  Elle donde numerosos rostros se dieron cita en el Matadero de Madrid.

 Glamour y looks muy especiales se dieron cita en el aniversario de esta revista dedicada a la moda. Diseñadores como Modesto Lomba, David Delfin, Elio Berhanyer , modelos  como Ariadne Artiles ó Eugenia Silva y rostros más populares como Sara Carbonero, Vicky Martin Berrocal, Antonio Banderas, Elena Anaya  ó Cayetano Rivera, se dieron cita en esta noche tan glamourosa. La gala presentada por Belán Rueda y Toni Garrido, los cuales estuvieron fantásticos rindieron homenaje con una entrega de premios al director Pedro Almodovar, Philippe Starck ó la Duquesa de Alba entre otros.

Have 3 events in one day is not easy to carry. We need well organized to be around.
Last Thursday seems that the universe was agreed to match in Madrid several events that I had the opportunity to attend and participate.
The first event was the presentation of Basicat showroom. This showroom located in Serrano counted with an opening of luxury. It presented this autumn winter 2011 collections of several international firms from countries such as USA, Japan, Russia, Spain or Australia.

The presentation took place in an incomparable setting a space in which each brand had its own private room and mark where each presented their proposals.

Designers like Paola Hernandez of  New York, Saint Augustine Academy of  Australia, The Vladimirovic of  Russia, Komoro-Game of Japan were some of the international firms that appeared in this space.

The next stop was the parade of designer  Covadonga of the brand Mi Vestido Palestino.

Covadonga is the designer of the brand presented a very original collection consists of dresses, bras, shirts, skirts and accessories like berets. It does this with Palestinian scarves.

And finally the 25 th anniversary party of Elle Magazine, where many faces gathered at the Matadero of Madrid.

Glamour and a very special looks gathered on the anniversary of this magazine devoted to fashion. Designers such as Modesto Lomba, David Delfin, Elio Berhanyer, or models such as Eugenia Silva Ariadne Artiles and most popular faces like Sara Carbonero, Vicky Martin Berrocal, Antonio Banderas, Cayetano Rivera  or Elena Anaya, met this evening so glamorous. The gala presented by Toni Garrido and Belen Rueda, who were honored with a fantastic award to director Pedro Almodovar, Philippe Starck or the Duchess of Alba among others.

LOEWE VUELVE A MADRID. LOEWE RETURNS TO MADRID

Tras 12 años de ausencia de desfiles de Loewe en España, el pasado 30 de marzo Loewe volvía a desfilar en  Madrid.

La marca española, cuyos orígenes se remontan a 1846, presentó el pasado miércoles su colección otoño invierno 2011, una réplica de lo que presentó en la Semana de Moda de Paris . El desfile que tuvo lugar en el  Jardín Botánico de Madrid y estuvo envuelto de un aire de glamour y elegancia.

Loewe ha mantenido siempre ese aire de elegancia que le caracteriza. Desde sus orígenes la marca siempre ha apostado por dar un servicio exquisito y de calidad a sus clientes.

Su origen que se remonta a 1846 cuando se crea el primer taller de marroquinería de Loewe. Años mas tarde Enrique Loewe se asocia a la marca y da el impulso al crecimiento de la misma. La marca es seleccionada en 1905 como proveedora de la Casa Real. Aquí es cuando comienza la expansión nacional de Loewe abriendo tiendas en otros puntos de venta como Barcelona.

En 1970  Loewe se introduce en el prêt-à-porter con su colección de pañuelos y comienza su expansión internacional.

Tras posicionarse en varios mercados la marca se consolida a nivel internacional con el acuerdo que firma en 1987 con el grupo francés LVHM.

En 1988 la marca decide apostar por un proyecto solidario creando la Fundación Loewe la cual apoya las actividades en diferentes ámbitos culturales como la poesía, la música y la danza.

Y asi tras 12 años de ausencia de desfiles en España, Loewe vuelve a Madrid para presentar su colección de otoño invierno 2011.

LOEWE RETURNS TO MADRID .

After 12 years of absence from Loewe fashion show in Spain on March 30 Loewe returned to  Madrid.
The Spanish brand, which dates back to 1846, introduced on Wednesday its autumn winter 2011 collection , a replica of what he presented at the Paris Fashion Week. The fashion show which took place in the Botanical Garden of Madrid and was involved in an air of glamour and elegance.
Loewe has always maintained an air of elegance that characterizes the brand. Since its origin the brand has always been committed to an excellent service and quality to its clients.

The origin of Loewe back to 1846 when it created the first workshop Loewe leather goods. Years later Enrique Loewe is associated with the brand and gives impetus to the growth of the same. The brand is selected in 1905 as a supplier of the Spanish Royal Family. This is when start the national expansion of Loewe, opening stores in other cities such as Barcelona.

In 1970, Loewe was introduced into the prêt-à-porter with its collection of tissues and begins its international expansion.

After positioning the brand in various markets worldwide is consolidated with the agreement signed in 1987 with the French group LVHM.
In 1988 the brand decided to bet on a charity project creating Loewe Foundation which supports cultural activities in different fields such as poetry, music and dance.

And so, after 12 year absence from fashion shows in Spain, Loewe returned to Madrid to present their collection of autumn winter 2011.

The fashion show had the support and assistance of great personalities like Isabel Preysler,  Carmen Lomana, Beatriz de Orleans, Adriana Dominguez, Marta Robles, David Delfin, Veronica Blume and many more.

LA PEOPLE MÁS COOL EN CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK. COOL PEOPLE IN CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK.

En unos dias arrancara la Pasarela Cibeles y en esta edición, donde se presentarán las colecciones para el próximo otoño invierno 2011, viene lleno de sorpresas.

Una de las novedades de esta edición de CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK (CMFW) es el desfile Coolpeople en Cibeles. Se trata de una iniciativa fresca, distinta y desenfadada, realizada por primera vez en España, que lleva a cabo CMFW, junto con Centromodaonline.com y Globally.   

En este desfile, tomarán parte una selección de jóvenes amantes de la moda, finalistas de un concurso convocado a través de las redes sociales en los días previos a CMFW, entre los que un jurado, integrado por diversos profesionales de la moda elegirán los que muestren un mejor look y una mejor actitud, otorgándoles el premio al chico y la chica cibelinos de esta edición. El premio incluye además un editorial de moda de los ganadores en centromodaonline.com y en una revista de tendencias.      

 

Esta iniciativa, se enmarca en una serie de acciones que CIBELES ya comenzó a realizar en su edición anterior, con el fin de abrir la pasarela a los jóvenes interesados en la moda y hacerles participes de su celebración, en el marco de la comunidad Soy Cibelino, dirigida a los interesados por la moda y las nuevas tendencias.

Así, en este ámbito en septiembre pasado se celebró en la Plaza Mayor de Madrid una fashion Mob -congregación de un grupo de gente vestida con looks de moda para realizar una acción conjunta, en un espacio público donde el resto de transeúntes no saben nada de lo que va a ocurrir-, y entre sus 200 participantes se eligió al chico y la chica cibelinos.

  Se celebra el día 23 de febrero, a las 20 horas y cierra el calendario de desfiles de la 53º edición

COOL PEOPLE IN CIBELES MADRID FASHION WEEK.
