THE IOU PROJECT: UN PROYECTO DE MODA SOSTENIBLE, UNICO Y QUE GENERA RIQUEZA.IOU THE PROJECT: A PROJECT OF SUSTAINABLE FASHION, UNIQUE AND THAT GENERATES WEALTH.

Imagínate que por un momento pudieras tener una prenda única en tu armario. Una prenda que sólo vas a tener tú y nadie más. Exclusividad al máximo, ¿verdad?.

Además de eso, imagina que al comprar la prenda sepas cual ha sido el origen de la misma, como se ha creado y quien ha participado en el proceso de diseño, fabricación y comercialización. Y, que esto sea reciproco, que quien lo ha fabricado sepa también quien lo ha comprado.

Pues esto ya es posible. El merito es de una emprendedora de origen indio llamada Kavita Parmar. Kavita y su equipo han desarrollado el proyecto The IOU Project. Un proyecto donde sostenibilidad, moda exclusiva y generación de riqueza forman parte de un único sistema donde todas las personas que forman parte del proceso participan y se enriquecen.

La cadena de prosperidad basada en el modelo WIN TO WIN comienza con el diseño  de la prenda única que es la base del proyecto.

El tejido esta  confeccionado  por familias artesanas de la India, las cuales elaboran una prenda única que tejen a mano y que  luego será puesta a la venta a través de internet.

El proyecto impulsa a la industria local ya que todos los tejidos que se elaboran en la India a través de familias de artesanos y posteriormente  el diseño de la prenda la logística, producción se hace a través de empresas españolas locales.

Las prendas de the IOU Project están confeccionadas con materias primas sostenibles, usando algodón natural cultivado localmente.

El proyecto de IUO Project ha creado un sistema en el cual participan tejedores, artesanos europeos locales, diseñadores y el cliente que compra la prenda. Todos forman parte de un sistema que se autoalimenta con la riqueza y conocimiento de todo el proceso.

Las prendas se venden a través de internet para evitar intermediarios y de esta manera el coste que supondría abrir una tienda física se reinvierta en una mejora del proceso de todos los miembros que participan desde el tejedor al cliente final.

Desde la web the IOU Project puedes participar y conocer a las personas que han creado la prenda que te has comprado así como crearte tu propia tienda on line, sugerir a tus amigos prendas que te gusten e incluso ganar tu propio dinero recomendando prendas.

Imagine for a moment you could have an exclusive design in your wardrobe. A piece that you only have you and nobody else. Exclusivity , right?.
Besides that, imagine that you know when buying the garment which has been the source of it, as has been created and who has participated in the design process, manufacturing and marketing. And this is reciprocal, that whoever manufactured it also knows who has bought.
Now this is  possible. The founder and merit is an ondian entrepreneur called Kavita Parmar. Kavita and her team have developed  The IOU Project. A project where sustainability, exclusive fashion and wealth generation are part of a unique system where all people are part of the process.

The chain of prosperity, based on WIN TO WIN model, begins with the unique design of the garment which is the basis of the project.
The fabric is made by artisan families in India, which produce a unique garment woven by hand and then will be offered for sale via the Internet.

The project encourages local industry, and that all tissues that are made in India by artisan families, and then the design of the garment logistics, production is done by local spanish companies.

Items of the IOU Project are made with sustainable materials, using locally grown natural cotton.
The draft of The IUO Project has created a system in which participating weavers, local European artisans, designers and the customer who buys the garment. All are part of a system that feeds on itself with wealth and knowledge of the process.
The garments are sold over the internet to avoid middlemen, and thus the cost to open a physical store would be reinvested in improved process for all members participating from the weaver to the final customer.
Since The IOU Project website you can participate and meet the people who created the item that you bought , and you can create your own online store, suggest to your friends clothes that you like, and even earn money by referring your own clothes.

PORTUGAL FASHION: TENDENCIAS PORTUGUESAS PARA EL PRÓXIMO OTOÑO INVIERNO 2012/2013. PORTUGAL FASHION: PORTUGUESE TRENDS FOR NEXT FALL WINTER 2012/2013.

Lisboa y Oporto han sido las ciudades elegidas para presentar las tendencias en moda y calzado para el próximo otoño invierno 2012/2013.

La 30 edición de la Portugal Fashion, que se ha celebrado del 21 al 24 de marzo, ha contado con estas dos ciudades para presentar las últimas tendencias en moda portuguesa.

El Museo da Moda e Do Design de Lisboa, ha sido el punto de inicio de una pasarela donde  este año se ha caracterizado por la sencillez,y donde los diseñadores portugueses han continuado con una línea de seguridad, en la que no se arriesga, quizá por los tiempos en los que estamos, en los que la crisis esta más que presente.

Durante el primer dia de la pasarela Lisboa se vistió con las mejores galas para recibir a diseñadores como Hugo Costa, Estelita Mendoca, Alves/ Goncalvez ó Felipe Oliveira Baptista.

De todas las colecciones del primer día, destacaría la  colección de Felipe Oliveira Baptista.

Su colección fue la mas innovadora de la jornada donde presentaba una colección para una mujer muy sexy, muy cuidada y  llena de contrastes  donde el animal print estaba muy presente.

El segundo dia de la Portugal Fashion tuvo lugar en la ciudad de Oporto. La Alfandega do Porto fue el lugar elegido para los desfiles, como viene siendo habitual en ediciones anteriores. Este segundo dia fue el turno para Ricardo  Preto, Julio Torcato, Storytailors y Luis Buchinho con su colección de Knittwear.

Lo  más destacado de este segundo dia fue la colección Meam de Ricardo Preto donde el punto estuvo muy presente como tendencia.

Destacar también  la colección de Luis Buchinho donde se resaltaba la femineidad de la mujer con prendas muy arquitectónicas y estructuradas.

Colores como el azul,  gris y negro fueron los protagonistas de este segundo dia.

Durante el tercer dia la ciudad de Oporto se despertó para recibir nuevamente a Luis Buchinho,Fernando  Lopes y Hugo Veiga, Diogo Miranda, Ana Salazar, Miguel Vieira y TM Collection by Teresa Martins.

Sin duda el desfile más aclamado y aplaudido fue el TM Collection by Teresa Martins. Su colección con vestidos de punto y complementos de lana como los sombreros fueron presentados a través de un espectáculo de danza.

Por unos minutos todos los invitados al desfile nos sentimos como espectadores de un musical de Broadway.

El último día de la Portugal Fashion fue el más intenso, los desfiles eran continuos y se concentraron durante todo el dia. Se presentaron las propuestas de jóvenes diseñadores en calzado y moda  pero luego se dio paso a  Carlos Gil, Vicri, Lion of Porches, Katty Xiomara, Luis Onofre, Dielmar y Fatima Lopes.

De todos los desfiles yo destacaría a estos tres últimos diseñadores.

Luis Onofre presentó una colección de calzado donde con se mezclaban piezas de metal con pieles y cuero. Sus zapatos mostraban a una mujer sensual y muy femenina.

Dielmar en cambio mostro una colección de caballero que nos transportaba a la campiña inglesa.

Lanas grises y colores tierra formaban parte de una colección donde se mostraba un hombre elegante y clásico, pero con un ligero toque de modernidad.

El broche final lo puso la diseñadora portuguesa Fátima Lopes. Transgresora y atrevida Fátima presentó una colección donde mezclaba prendas  de piel y cuero con estampados barrocos.

La línea de la colección mostraba a una mujer sexy , femenina, muy segura de sí misma y con un gran carácter.

PORTUGAL FASHION: PORTUGUESE TRENDS FOR NEXT FALL WINTER 2012

Lisbon and Oporto cities have been chosen to present the trends in fashion and footwear for autumn winter 2012.
The 30th edition of the Portugal Fashion which was held from 21 to March 24, enjoyed these two cities to present the latest fashion trends in Portuguese.
The Museum of Design Fashion of Lisbon has been the starting point of a catwalk. This edition was characterized by simplicity fashion and where portuguese designers have continued with a safety line, which does not risk, perhaps by times in which we are, where the crisis is more than this.
During the first day of the catwalk, Lisbon was dressed finery to welcome designers like Hugo Costa, Estelita Mendoca, Alves / Gonçalves Felipe Oliveira Baptista or. Of all the collections of the first day, I recommended the  collection of Felipe Oliveira Baptista.

His collection was the most innovative of the day, where he presented a collection for a sexy and elegant woman, with full of contrasts, where the animal print was very present.

The second day of the Portugal Fashion took place in the city of Oporto. The Alfandega do Porto was the venue for parades, as is customary in previous editions. This second day was the turn of Ricardo Preto, July Torcato, and Luis Buchinho Storytailors consumption Knittwear collection. The highlight of this second day, was the Meam collection by Ricardo Preto,where the point was very present as a trend.

Also emphasize the collection of Louis Buchinho, which emphasized the femininity of women with very architectural and structured garments.

Colors like blue, gray and black were the protagonists of the second day.
On the third day, the city of Porto awoke to welcome back Buchinho Luis Fernando and Hugo Veiga Lopes, Diogo Miranda, Ana Salazar, Miguel Vieira and TM Collection by Teresa Martins.

Without doubt, the most acclaimed and applauded parade was the TM Collection by Teresa Martins. Her collection with knitted dresses and accessories such as wool hats were presented through a dance.

For a few minutes to parade all the guests felt like spectators at a Broadway musical.

The last day of the Portugal Fashion was the most intense, the parades were continuous and concentrated throughout the day. Were presented by young designers and fashion footwear but then gave way to Carlos Gil, Vicri, Lion of Porches, Katty Xiomara, Luis Onofre, and Fatima Lopes Dielmar.
Of all the shows I would point to the last three designers.

Luis Onofre presented a collection of shoes which were mixed with pieces of metal with skins and leather. His shoes showed a sensual and very feminine.

Dielmar, showed instead a collection of gentleman who transported us to the english countryside. Wool gray and earth tones were part of a collection that showed a man elegant and classic, but with a touch of modernity.

The final touch is put by the portuguese designer Fatima Lopes. Transgressive and daring, Fatima Lopes presented a collection which mixed leather garments and leather baroque prints.

The line of the collection showed a sexy, feminine, very confident and a great character woman.

CITA CON LA MODA EN FEBRERO. FASHION EVENTS DURING FEBRUARY.

El mes de febrero es el mes de los eventos de moda.Desfiles, pasarelas y presentación de colecciones.

Os dejo aquí  varios  eventos de moda que no os podéis perder, y que se van a celebrar durante este mes de febrero.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. La pasarela Cibeles de Madrid se reinventa y cambia de nombre por el de Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Esta edición estará marcada por una nueva imagen y por un calendario de desfile donde muchos diseñadores repiten y otros han abandonado la pasarela. Del 1 al 5 de febrero se presentaran las propuestas para el próximo otoño invierno 2012- 2013. Durante  los 4 primeros días desfilarán diseñadores españoles consagrados. El último día esta reservada a diseñadores más noveles que se darán cita en el Ego junto con una pasarela externa el OFF de Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

Durante los mismos días del  2 al 4 de febrero se celebra el SIMM (Salón Internacional de la Moda de Madrid) en IFEMA. Un punto de encuentro para profesionales de la moda. El salón, que reune a cerca de 800 firmas, muestra un incremento de las enseñas extranjeras presentes, especialmente en las procedentes de Francia. Los showrooms de moda IFEMA continúan su expansión y suman un centenar de marcas, un 22% más que en febrero del pasado año. Un programa de actividades, en el Foro Speaker’s Corner, complementará la oferta comercial del certamen.

Paralelamente y junto con el SIMM se celebra también Bisutex dentro de la feria Giftrends Madrid. Bisutex muestra su  oferta de moda con las propuestas y colecciones en bisutería y joyas más innovadoras para la temporada primavera verano 2012.

La siguiente semana la moda se traslada a Valencia con la XII edición de Valencia Fashion Week.

Del  15 al 18 de febrero se darán cita en el Agora de la Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias las propuestas de los diseñadores valencianos para el próximo otoño invierno 2012-2013.

En cuanto a las ferias internacionales, este año voy a asistir como invitada especial  a la feria Inspiramais que se celebra del 7 al 9 de febrero  en la ciudad de Sao Paulo ( Brazil) la cual va a presentar las propuestas de primavera verano 2013. Os daré más detalles a la vuelta de mi viaje.

FASHION EVENTS DURING  FEBRUARY
February is the month of fashion shows. Catwalks, walkways and presentation of collections.
I leave here several fashion events that you can not lose and that will be held during the month of February.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid. The Cibeles Madrid reinvents and renames the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. This edition will be marked by a new image and a calendar of parade where many designers repeat and others have left the runway. From 1 to 5 of February to submit proposals for the autumn winter 2012 to 2013. During the first 4 days parade dedicated to Spanish designers. The last day is reserved for novice designers who will meet in the ego with the external runaway OFF Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

During the same days, from  February 2 and February 4 marks the SIMM (International Fashion Show in Madrid) in IFEMA. A meeting point for fashion professionals. ADEEM Y EL IMPULSO DE NUEVOS TALENTOS EN DISEÑO DE MODA. ADEEM AND THE PROMOTION OF NEW TALENTS IN FASHION DESIGN.

Feliz Año a tod@s! Ya estoy de vuelta despues de unas merecidas vacaciones navideñas.

Uno de mis propositos para este año 2012 es ayudar a impulsar nuevos talentos en la moda a través de este blog y en los diferentes proyectos en los que gestiono y participo.

En España tenemos un potencial increible en moda y diseño por eso quiero presentaros a  ADEEM (Asociacion de Diseñadores Españoles en Movimiento).Esta asociación sin ánimo de lucro quiere impulsar a  nuevos diseñadores de moda española a traves de los diferentes eventos y proyectos que desarrollan.

Y para que esto sea una realidad ADEEM  (Asociación de Diseñadores Españoles en Movimiento) y la Fundación Isabel Gemio convocan la final del I Concurso de Moda Solidaria ADEEM para el próximo Martes día 10 de Enero a las 20:00 horas en la Galería 28012 de Madrid. Dicho concurso supone una oportunidad para los nuevos talentos de la moda española de proporcionar repercusión a sus carreras ya que el ganador se convertirá en el director creativo de una nueva firma de moda que destinará todas sus ventas a la Fundación de la periodista Isabel Gemio.

Para bautizar a esta nueva firma cuentan con la inestimable ayuda del escritor y poeta Fernando Beltrán, autor, entre otros, de los nombres de Amena, Faunia, Keteke o La Casa Encendida. De su imaginación y talento ha salido la denominación de esta nueva marca que daremos a conocer durante el evento.

El concurso fue todo un éxito de participación ya que más de 50 jóvenes, promovidos por la unión de Moda con Solidaridad y por la oportunidad que se les presenta, decidieron inscribirse. Entre los que destacan diseñadores como Maria Ke Fisherman que ha desfilado en el Ego de Cibeles o Lola Cuello que participa en importantes pasarelas nacionales como el 080 de Barcelona o la Valencia Fashion Week.

El jurado que decidirá quién es el ganador de entre los quince finalistas está formado entre otros por la Directora de Telva Olga Ruiz, la Directora de Pasarela Cibeles Cuca Solana, Lorena Morlote, el fotógrafo de moda Luis Malibrán, Juncal Rivero, la estilista Bárbara Crespo, el diseñador de moda Daniel Rabaneda (ganador de la IX edición de la Valencia Fashion Week) y Miguel Ángel Leal en representación de Cristian Lay como patrocinador del evento.

Aunque la lista de invitados conocidos sigue abierta, contamos con la confirmación de rostros conocidos como Borja Thyssen y su mujer Blanca Cuesta, Mabel Lozano, Cecilia Gómez, Carmen Lomana, Nani Jiménez y su pareja Miguel Barberà, Julio Aparicio etc. Además de las ya nombradas Isabel Gemio y Juncal Rivero.

Yo asistiré como invitada a este evento asi que os contaré de primera mano la cronica  del desfile.

Sin duda será un exito dado el gran trabajo de ADEEM y del fin social de este evento, cuya recaudación irá destinada a la Fundación Isabel Gemio la cual hace una labor encomiable para  la investigacion de distrofias musculares y otras enfermedades raras. 

ADEEM AND THE  PROMOTION OF NEW TALENTS IN FASHION DESIGN.

Happy New Year to everyone! I’m back after a well deserved Christmas break.

One of my purposes for the year 2012 is to help promote new talents in fashion through this blog and the various projects we manage and participate.

In Spain we have an incredible potential in fashion and design so I want to introduce you to ADEEM (Association of Spanish Designers in Motion). This nonprofit association seeks to promote new Spanish fashion designers through various events and projects that develop.

And to make this a reality ADEEM (Association of Spanish Designers in Motion) and the Isabel Gemio Foundation announce the final of  I Adeem Solidarity Fashion Contest for next Tuesday January 10 at 20:00 pm in the gallery 28 012 of Madrid. This competition provides an opportunity for new talent in the Spanish fashion to provide impact their careers and the winner will become the new creative director of a fashion brand that all sales go to the Foundation of journalist Isabel Gemio.

To christen the new firm has the invaluable help of writer and poet Fernando Beltran, author, among others, the names of Amena, Faunia, Keteke or The House On. In his imagination and talent has gone out of the new brand name that we will announce during the event.

The contest was a big success in participation as more than 50 young people, promoted by the union of Fashion with Solidarity and the opportunity presented to them, they decided to enroll. Among which designers like Maria Ke Fisherman has paraded in the Ego de Cibeles and Lola Cuello gateways participating in important national and the 080 in Barcelona and the Valencia Fashion Week.

The jury that will decide who the winner from among the fifteen finalists is formed among others by the Director of Telva Olga Ruiz, Director of Cuca Solana Cibeles, Lorena Morlote, the fashion photographer Luis Malibran, Juncal Rivero, stylist Barbara Crespo,the fashion designer Daniel Rabaneda (winner of the ninth edition of the Valencia Fashion Week) and Miguel Angel Leal for Cristian Lay representing a sponsor of the event.

Although known guest list is still open, we have the confirmation of familiar faces as Borja Thyssen and his wife Blanca Cuesta, Mabel Lozano, Cecilia Gomez, Carmen Lomana, Nani Jimenez Miguel Barbera and his partner, Julio Aparicio etc. Besides those already named Isabel and Juncal Rivero Gemio.

I will attend as a guest at this event so I will tell you first-hand chronicle of the parade.

It will certainly be a success given the great work of social order and Adeem this event, whose proceeds will go to the Isabel Gemio Foundation which makes a commendable job for the investigation of muscular dystrophy and other rare diseases.

 

PORTUGAL FASHION: EL NUEVO “START UP”. PORTUGAL FASHION: THE NEW “START UP”

Bajo el lema de Start Up arrancaba la semana pasada la Portugal Fashion.  24 desfiles, 14 performance de moda y un concurso de jóvenes diseñadores a nivel europeo daban salida a esta 29 edición.

Este año tuve la oportunidad de asistir como invitada y representante de España para cubrir los desfiles.

Durante 4 días la ciudad de Oporto se vistió con sus mejores galas para recibir a los diseñadores más punteros de Portugal.

El evento tuvo lugar en Alfandega Do Porto, en el edificio de la antigua aduana de la ciudad de Oporto, un palacio histórico y perfecto para organizar una de las pasarelas más creativas de Portugal.

Grandes personalidades  de la  high society portuguesa, celebrities y prensa internacional se reunieron en este espacio donde se presentaban las tendencias y colecciones para la próxima Primavera Verano 2012.

Las propuestas de los diseñadores portugueses para la Primavera Verano 2012  se basaron dos puntos importantes, la creatividad y la calidad.

Diseñadores como Teresa Martins de TM Collection nos mostraban que el diseño no está reñido con la practicidad. Su desfile comenzó con un aire gregoriano y termino con una estética con aires naturales y campestres.

Otros diseñadores más conservadores  como Hugo Costa nos mostraban una colección sobria y donde se hacia una crítica a la religión judeo- cristiana.

Alves Goncalves y Ana Salazar marcaron el punto de la elegancia y la femineidad en sus desfiles. Presentaron a una mujer muy sensual y sofisticada sobre la pasarela.

El sábado fue el turno de los diseñadores portugueses de renombre, Miguel Vieira, Felipe Oliveira, Dielmar, Luis Onofre y Fátima Lopes. Todos ellos  dieron  ese toque glamuroso y de grandeza  a la Portugal Fashion. Sus propuestas, como era de esperar, siempre impecables.

Continuó con su línea de caballero y señora la cual se marcaba el estilo de este diseñador portugués, donde elegancia y el  buen gusto van de la mano.

Felipe Oliveira nos envolvió en vestidos en forma de túnica, con una gran acertada combinación de colores para la próxima primavera verano.

Dielmar , puso el toque elegante presentando sus propuestas mas innovadoras para hombre, pero siempre respetando el estilo de la marca,que lleva desde 1965 confeccionando trajes de caballero.

Luis Onofre sorprendió con una colección de zapatos divina donde se alternaban materiales preciosos con plumas.

Fátima Lopes, como siempre, tan atrevida y rebelde, sorprendió al público a  la hora de presentar su colección.Sus propuestas fueron más sencillas, pero  sin olvidar  su espíritu y esencia rebelde.

El domingo fue el turno para los jóvenes diseñadores. La organización de la Portugal Fashion organizó  un concurso de jóvenes diseñadores internacionales, en el cual participaban jóvenes talentos de diferentes escuelas de moda de España, Francia, Belgica, Italia y Portugal. Entre los 15 aspirantes un jurado compuesto por diferentes profesionales del mundo de la moda eligieron a 5 ganadores con diferentes premios. La ganadora fue la diseñadora francesa Bertille Goux la cual fue doblemente premiada.

Durante los 4 días en los que tuvieron lugar los  desfiles, la organización de la Portugal Fashion aposto por la creatividad y por los jóvenes talentos, se alternaron desfiles de diseñadores portugueses reconocidos y jóvenes promesas del diseño.

PORTUGAL FASHION: THE NEW  “START UP”

Under the banner of Start Up last week pulled the Portugal Fashion. 24 shows, 14 performances of fashion and a competition for young european designers were out of this 29th edition.
This year I had the opportunity to attend as a guest and representative of Spain to cover the shows.
During 4 days the city of Oporto dressed in their finery to welcome the leading designers in Portugal.
The event took place in Alfandega Do Porto, in the old customs building in the city of Oporto, a historic palace and perfect for organizing one of the most creative gateways Portugal.

Great personalities Portuguese high society, celebrities and international media gathered in this space which presented the trends and collections for next Spring Summer 2012.
The proposals of the Portuguese designers for the Spring Summer 2012 were based in  two important points, creativity and quality.
Designers like Teresa Martins of  TM Collection  showed us that the design does not conflict with practicality. Her parade began with a gregorian air and ended with a natural aesthetic and rustic air.

Other more conservative designers like Hugo Costa showed us a collection and where to sober criticism of the Judeo-Christian religion.

Ana Salazar and Alves Goncalves marked the point of elegance and femininity in their fashion shows. They presented a very sensual woman on the runaway.

Saturday was the turn of the renowned Portuguese designer Miguel Vieira, Felipe Oliveira, Dielmar, Luis Onofre and Fatima Lopes. They all gave the glamorous touch of grandeur to the Portugal Fashion. Their proposals, as expected, always impeccable.

Sunday was the turn of young designers. The organization of the Portugal Fashion organized a competition of young international designers, with the participation of young talents from various fashion schools in Spain, France, Belgium, Italy and Portugal. Among the 15 candidates by a panel of professional different fashion chose 5 winners with prizes. The winner was the French designer  Bertille Goux,which was doubly rewarded.

During the 4 days when parades took place, the organization of the Portugal Fashion apostolate for creativity and young talent, alternated parades young Portuguese designers recognized and new coming designers.

MEXICO ESTA DE MODA. MEXICO IS IN FASHION

La moda no tiene fronteras, la unión de culturas es lo mas enriquecedor que le puede pasar a un país. Con esta máxima el equipo de Promexico junto con la empresa Mexico esta de Moda intentan cada día que en españa conozcamos más la moda y cultura mejicana.

La semana pasada fui invitada al stand de Mexico esta de Moda coincidiendo con la Vogue Fashion Night Out.

Grandes personalidades, artistas y diseñadores se encontraron en el restaurante el Mestizo en Madrid donde el buen gusto y la elegancia estaban presentes.

Un gran evento donde se organizaba un showroom de diseñadores mejicanos presentes en la capital de España.

Diseñadores de la talla de  Alfredo Martínez,  Alejandro Carlín, Alana Savoir, Denisse Kuri, Nora Adame de BasBag, Luza y Ximena Muñoz de Bang Bang TFK, Pineda Covalín, Óscar Aguilar, Lydia Lavín, Mackeck y Michelle Torres se dieron cita en este lugar para que conociéramos un poco mas  toda la moda y  talento que hay en Mexico.

Me encantaron los diseños de alta costura y novias de Alana Savoir, una diseñadora mejicana con una saga familiar de diseñadores que ha sabido resaltar la femineidad y elegancia de la mujer.

Amenizando la velada la cantante Lorena Sarti nos dedico unos minutos musicales con su esplendida voz.

Coincidiendo con Iberjoya, el Gobierno Mejicano a través de Promexico y de la embajada de Mexico organizó un cocktail presentación de diferentes marcas de joyas mejicanas.

Se contó con la participación de las marcas mexicanas ANAID’S Creations, D’Tapia, Daniel Espinosa, Luis Alonso Zúñiga Mijangos, Mackech, México Chiapas Original, Oro de Monte Albán y Sabido & Basteris, empresas de alto diseño en joyería que se encargaron  de representar a México ante el mercado español, con colecciones elaboradas en oro y plata, cien por ciento mexicanos.

En el cocktail se pudo ver una representación de la calidad y creatividad de la joyería de Mexico. El acto fue presidido por el embajador de Mexico Don Jorge Zermeño y su esposa.

Fue el punto de encuentro de artistas, políticos, diseñadores y gente de la alta sociedad mejicana.

A destacar una impecable organización y un trato excelente por parte de toda la organización.

Fue un placer participar en estos eventos y conocer un pedazito de Mexico.

MEXICO IS IN FASHION

Fashion has no borders, the union of cultures is the most enriching thing that can happen to a country. With this maxim Promexico team with the company  Mexico esta de Moda is trying every day in Spain know more of the Mexican fashion and culture.

Last week I was invited to Mexico esta de moda stand, coinciding with Fashion Vogue Night Out.

Great personalities, artists and designers were found in the Mestizo´s restaurant in Madrid where good taste and elegance were present.

Designers such as Alfredo Martinez, Alejandro Carlin, Alana Savoir, Denisse Kuri, Nora Adame of BasBag, Muñoz Ximena Luza and TFK Bang Bang, Covalín Pineda, Oscar Aguilar, Lydia Lavin and Michelle Torres Mackeck gathered in this place for all we knew a little more fashion and talent in Mexico.
I loved the designs of haute couture and bridal  like Alana Savoir, a Mexican designer with a family tradition in fashion,that has known designers to emphasize the femininity and elegance of women.

Livened up the evening the singer Lorena Sarti we took a few minutes with its splendid musical voice.
Coinciding with Iberjoya Fair, the Mexican Government through Promex and the Embassy of Mexico hosted a cocktail presentation of different brands of jewelry Mexicans.

It included the participation of Mexican brands Anaid’s Creations, D’Tapia, Daniel Espinosa, Luis Alonso Zúñiga Mijangos, Mackech, Mexico Chiapas Original, Oro de Monte Alban and Sabido & Basteris, high-design firms in jewelry that is responsible for representing Mexico before the Spanish market, with collections made of gold and silver, one hundred percent Mexican.

In the cocktail could see a representation of the quality and creativity of jewelry from Mexico. The event was chaired by the Ambassador of Mexico Jorge Zermeño and his wife.

It was the meeting point for artists, politicians, designers and high society of Mexico.

To highlight an impeccable organization and a great deal by the entire organization.
It was a pleasure to participate in these events and know a little piece of Mexico.

Era la primera vez que visitaba Palma de Mallorca y no sé porque pero creo que no va a ser la última. Esta isla bañada por el Mediterráneo, sorprende en el momento en que llegas a pisar suelo en el aeropuerto.

Algo envuelve a Palma, no sé si será su viento, sus playas o sus gentes. Creo que es una combinación de todas estas cosas.

La ciudad de Palma tiene un aire especial, es como si el tiempo se parase, nada que ver con el estrés de Madrid donde se va corriendo a todos los sitios.

La tranquilidad se respira a cada paso que das. En Portal Nous se pueden ver los yates mas lujosos que atracan en puerto para pasar su estancia en la isla.

La moda en Palma es mucho más relajada que en otras cuidades, el streetstyle está dominado por un estilo  ibicenco y hippy chic pero con toques de elegancia y glamour.

Entre los diseñadores mallorquines hay uno concretamente en la isla, que ha sabido desarrollar su creatividad mucho más alla de nuestras fronteras ,y que ha mantenido siempre su estilo propio impulsando la moda mallorquina. Estoy hablando del diseñador José Miró. Su colección nos transporta a una isla paradisiaca. Sus kaftanes son espectaculares y sus bikinis increíbles.

Para José Miró su creatividad no se queda quieta y además de diseñar colabora en varios actos benéficos como la cena para recaudar fondos para la Asociación Española Contra el Cancer que tuvo lugar en Ibiza el pasado viernes 22 de julio. Un genio con mente inquieta que no para de construir no solo en moda sino a nivel social también.

El arte también juega un papel importante en la isla y Mallorca ha contado con grandes artistas, Joan Miró o Picasso hicieron de la isla su segunda casa.

En el panorama actual hay un artista multidisciplinar que me ha llegado al corazón y que con su arte ha traspasado los límites no solo mentales sino también geográficos.

José Tobal , mallorquín de nacimiento pero con un corazón internacional  está considerado uno de los artistas más creativos e internacionales de Mallorca.

Sus obras llegan al alma ya que en cada trabajo pone toda la pasión y un toque personal  en todo lo que crea, siempre basándose en las experiencias personales,  anécdotas de sus innumerables viajes que ha hecho por el mundo y de las personas con las que se ha ido encontrando.

Sus comienzos fueron por casualidad al empezar a dibujar desde muy joven, tras varios premios por el gobierno balear decidió hacer su carrera internacional exponiendo en varias galerías  en Miami, New York o Madrid.

 

Su mente inquieta nunca para y para este artista que tiene el don de ser multidisciplinar, sus trabajos no se centran solo en pintura, sino también en la fotografía, diseño de moda, música y escritura.

Entre sus proyectos más inmediatos esta el editar un libro sobre su vida a nivel internacional, pintar un cuadro que se subastará en la galería Christie´s y la creación de su propia fundación para la construcción de proyectos con fines sociales.

Otra de las curiosidades de la isla es su excelente gastronomía. La capital Palma cuenta con una gran cantidad de  restaurantes  que harán las delicias de los más exquisitos paladares.

En pleno centro de Palma se encuentra el restaurante de tapas de diseño Tast. Un lugar donde podéis encontrar tapas de diseño exquisitas con una gran variedad y con una calidad precio excelente.

Pero quizás lo que más me llamo la atención del restaurante es el trato tan exquisito y  humano que tienen con los clientes.

Sin duda Mallorca es la isla del encanto, desde sus playas escondidas con calas con arena fina y aguas turquesas hasta sus gentes que te hacen sentir como en casa.

It was the first time that I visited to Palma de Mallorca and do not know why but I think it won´t be the last. This island bathed by the Mediterranean, it is surprising at the time you get to set foot in the airport.
Something involves Palma, maybe it’s his wind, beaches or its people. I think it’s a combination of all these things.

The city of Palma is  very special  as if time stopped, nothing compare with the stress of Madrid where he is running everywhere.
The tranquility is breathed at every step. In Portal Nous you can see the most luxurious yachts docked in port for your stay on the island.

Fashion in Palma is much more relaxed than in other cities, the streetstyle is dominated by a hippy chic and Ibiza style but with touches of elegance and glamour.
Among the designers Mallorca is a specifically on the island, which has managed to develop their creativity far beyond our borders, and has always maintained his driving style fashion Mallorca. I’m talking about designer Jose Miro. His collection transports us to an island paradise. Their kaftans are spectacular and  their amazing bikinis.

In today there is a multidisciplinary artist who has been touched my heart and that his art has pushed the boundaries not only mentally but also geographically.
Jose Tobal, spanish by birth but an international heart is considered one of the most international and creative artists in Mallorca.

His works come to mind because in each work brings all the passion and personal touch in everything that he creates, always based on personal experiences, anecdotes, from his many travels that  he has done around the world, and the people who has been found.

Its beginnings were by chance to start drawing at a young age.After several awards for the Balearic government decided to make his international career, exhibiting in several galleries in Miami, New York or Madrid .

His restless mind never stops and this artist has the gift of being multidisciplinary work, does not focus solely on painting, but also in photography, fashion design, music and writing.

Another of the curiosities of the island is its excellent cuisine. The capital Palma has a lot of restaurants will delight the most discerning palates.
In the heart of Palma is the design tapas restaurant Tast. A place where you can find exquisite design covers a wide range and an excellent value for money.

En Paris la moda continúa y aunque estemos en pleno verano se han presentado las colecciones de Alta Costura para el próximo otoño invierno 2011/2012. Os dejo aquí una  pequeña muestra de  lo que se va a llevar en alta costura para el próximo otoño invierno.

Chanel  nos ha mostrado una colección muy sobria en la cual predominan sus clásicos trajes de punto y vestidos con contrastes en blancos y negros. Una colección sobria en la que la ausencia de creatividad ha estado presente.

 Matemática de profesión pero diseñadora de corazón esta gallega ha sabido transmitir en sus diseños toda la elegancia y calidad de prendas que son prácticas y a la vez sofisticadas.

Su andadura comienza hace un año con su primera colección y ahora con toda su ilusión nos presenta la colección primavera verano 2011.

Colección Primavera Verano 2011 Blossan

Una colección basada en la elegancia con colores como salmones, crema, azules y líneas muy puras con caídas que convierten a la mujer en una musa delicada y muy femenina.

La naturaleza también está presente en esta colección con tejidos como seda y encajes.

Los diseños de Blossan se distribuyen bajo pedido a través de su tienda on line, a través de la tienda Arts& Crafts en La Coruña ó en Madrid en My Dress Showroom.

Los próximos proyectos de Blossan es presentar su colección otoño invierno 2011 y sacar una línea de ropa masculina y por supuesto seguir creciendo, cosa que no dudo dada la creatividad esfuerzo e ilusión de esta joven diseñadora gallega.

BLOSSAN, CHIC DESIGN WITH GALLEGO STYLE

Sandra Espiñeira is the creator of Blossan, a line of dresses very chic and elegant.

Mathematical of profession but designer in her heart this galician designer has managed to convey in their designs all the elegance and quality of clothes that are practical, yet sophisticated.

Her career began a year ago with her first collection and now with all their hopes presents the spring summer collection 2011.

A collection based on the elegance with colors like salmon, cream, blue and pure lines with drops that make the woman in a delicate and very feminine muse.

Nature is also present in this collection with fabrics like silk and lace.

Blossan designs are distributed on request through their online shop or through the Arts & Crafts Store in La Coruña and  in My Dress Showroom in Madrid.

Blossan upcoming projects is to present their autumn winter 2011 and take a menswear line and of course continue to grow, which no doubt due to the creative effort and enthusiasm of this young designer of Galicia.

NUEVOS DISEÑADORES SE REUNEN EN EL FITTING ROOM. MEETING OF NEW DESIGNERS IN FITTING ROOM

Por tercer año consecutivo asistí este sábado al Fitting Room. Parece que fue ayer cuando estaba en la edición de Bilbao y sin darme cuenta ya estaba aquí  en la edición de Madrid.

Siguiendo el mismo estilo que otros años, el Hotel Petit Principe de Madrid fue el elegido para que diferentes diseñadores se instalaran en sus habitaciones para presentar sus diseños.

Salvador Bachiller fue una de las primeras marcas visitadas. En su stand se presentaban parte de su colección primavera verano.

En la misma habitación podías dejar un mensaje, y por supuesto, el blog Dress for Success dejó su mensaje.

La siguiente visita fue en la habitación de los creadores de la marca Ines Susaeta. Joyas de hechas con piedras naturales recogidas de playas. Originalidad , diseño y artesanía se unen en esta marca.

Después de esto conocí a Cristina de El Atelier de Cristina donde me quede enamorada de sus tocados.

Muy cerquita de allí me encontré con Sandra Palomar una diseñadora de León con piezas muy únicas y personales. Pendientes y pulseras en tonos dorados y en forma de dedal.

En la habitación de al lado me encontré con un mundo romántico de bolsos románticos y delicados. La marca Le Monvintage presentaba su colección.

En el último piso me encontré con Susana de Dios una diseñadora asturiana con prendas de alta costura y vestidos únicos. Esta diseñadora polifacética donde las haya, ya que también hace cine, me enseñó su estupenda colección de vestidos, piezas únicas con una calidad exquisita.

La última visita fue a Maria Meda una gran artista la cual realiza collares, guantes y bufandas con materiales como lana y medias.

Un año más puedo decir que: i love Fitting Room!

MEETING OF NEW DESIGNERS IN FITTINGROOM

 

For the third consecutive year on Saturday attended the Fitting Room. It seems like yesterday when I was in the edition of Bilbao and before I knew it I was here in the edition of Madrid.
Following the same style as other years, the Hotel Petit Prince de Madrid was chosen so that different designers will be installed in their rooms to present their designs.
Salvador Bachiller was one of the leading brands visited. In his booth had part of their spring summer collection.

In the same room you could leave a message, and of course, the Dress for Success blog left a message.

The next visit was in the room of the creators of the brand Ines Susaeta. Jewelry made with natural stones collected from beaches. Originality, design and craft come together in this brand.

After that I met Cristina of Cristina Atelier where I stayed in love with their headdresses.

Very close to there I met a designer Sandra Palomar of Leon very unique and personal pieces. Earrings and bracelets in gold and in a thimble.

In the next room I found a romantic world of romantic and delicate handbags. The mark Le Monvintage presented his collection.

On the top floor I found a designer Susana de Dios an asturian couture clothing and unique dresses. This designer versatile as they come, and also makes movies, he showed me his wonderful collection of dresses, unique pieces with exquisite quality.

The last visit was to Maria Meda a great artist which makes necklaces, gloves and scarves with materials like wool socks.

One year I can say that i love Fitting Room!
