Durante la Cibeles Fashion Week muchos han sido los diseñedores que han desfilado este año. Dress for Success tuvo la oportunidad de estar en el backstage de Cibeles y conocer en persona el trabajo de una de las diseñadores que ha revolucionado este año la pasarela; Sara Coleman. Esta diseñadora gallega nos recibió en su backstage. Sin duda su profesionalidad la precede, pero quizás, lo que más llama la atención de Sara Coleman es su calidad humana y que está rodeada de un equipo sensacional de personas que trabajan como si fuera una.
1- ¿Quién es Sara Coleman?
Una exploradora.
2- Tu experiencia profesional es excelente, has trabajado con diseñadores como Roberto Verino. ¿Cuándo decides caminar por ti misma?
La marca Sara Coleman se crea en el 2007, pero es a partir del pasado año cuando decido montar la pequeña estructura que nos está sosteniendo. Hasta entonces realizaba colecciones con la firma, que presentaba en EGO de Cibeles, al mismo tiempo que trabajaba para otras marcas, hacía colaboraciones en teatro y danza, daba clases en la Escuela Superior de Diseño y Moda Felicidad Duce….pero es entonces, en el 2010, cuando vemos que hay un interés por parte del cliente y es ahí cuando decido dedicar todas mis fuerzas al proyecto que hoy en día estamos construyendo y haciendo que sea una realidad: Sara Coleman.
3- ¿En que se basan las colecciones de Sara Coleman?
En las estructuras orgánicas naturales aplicadas al cuerpo, realizando un estudio sobre la relación cuerpo-espacio.
4- ¿En qué te inspiras para crear tus colecciones?
En cada colección surgen nuevas inspiraciones, desde una canción, un edificio, cualquier cosa que sugiera puede estar bien como comienzo, aunque siempre nos guiamos por ese hilo conductor que es el de las estructuras orgánicas naturales. Ya que trabajamos con el cuerpo (una estructura orgánica más) así que aunque el punto de partida siempre es el mismo, el desarrollo de cada idea es lo que define cada colección.
5- Hace poco te estrenaste en Cibeles presentando tu colección para el próximo Otoño Invierno 2011 ¿Cómo describirías esa experiencia?
Como emocionante, llena de expectativas y con ganas de volver para hacerlo mejor, porque podemos!
6- ¿Qué diferencia a Sara Coleman de otros diseñadores?
La capacidad de trabajo y la ilusión creo que todos los que estamos arrancando la tenemos, sin embargo nuestra firma ofrece un diseño y patronaje propios, pensados de manera conjunta, estamos orientados hacia el uso de tejidos orgánicos y tenemos una altísima calidad en la confección de cada prenda. Si sumamos todos estos atributos nos situamos ante colecciones con un fuerte valor añadido y que se diferencian por sí solas, sobre todo en un mercado tan saturado como en el que estamos.

SARA COLEMAN THE DESIGNER WHO REVOLUTIONISED CIBELES.
During the Cibeles Fashion Week diseñedores have been many that have passed this year. Dress for Success had the opportunity to be backstage at Cibeles and meet in person the work of one of the designers that has revolutionized the catwalk this year, Sara Coleman. This designer Galician received us in his backstage. No doubt his professionalism precedes it, but perhaps what most attracts the attention of Sara Coleman is their human quality and is surrounded by a stunning team of people working like one.
1 – Who is Sarah Coleman?
An explorer.
2 – Your experience is excellent, you’ve worked with designers such as Roberto Verino. When you decide to walk by yourself?
Sara Coleman brand was created in 2007, but it is from last year when I decided to mount the small structure that is holding us. Until then performed with the signature collection, which featured in Ego de Cibeles, while working for other brands, was in theater and dance collaborations, taught at the School of Fashion Design and Felicidad Duce …. but then in 2010, when we see a customer’s interest and that’s when I decided to devote all my strength to the project that we are building today and making it a reality: Sara Coleman.
3 – How are based collections Sara Coleman?
In natural organic structures applied to the body, conducting a study on the relationship between body and space.
4 – What inspires you to create your collections?
In each collection new inspirations come from a song, a building, anything that suggests it may be as a start, but always guided by the thread that is the natural organic structures. We work with the body (an organic structure more) so even though the starting point is always the same, the development of each idea is what defines each collection.
5 - Recently released in Cibeles you submitting your collection for next Fall Winter 2011 How would you describe that experience?
As exciting, full of expectations and eager to return and do better, because we can!
6 – What is the different of Sarah Coleman and other designers?
The ability to work and I hope that all of us have it booting, but our firm offers a design and pattern of their own, think together, we are oriented towards the use of organic fabrics and have a high quality of workmanship of each garment. If we add all these attributes we stand to collections with strong added value and differentiate themselves, especially in a market as saturated as we are.
