LA OTRA CARA DE LA MODA. THE OTHER SIDE OF FASHION.

Durante este fin de semana he tenido la oportunidad de asistir a un curso de Moda Sostenible impartido por  Slow Fashion Spain.

Conocer el mundo de la moda desde la sostenibilidad y la responsabilidad social corporativa ha sido increíble. Este curso  ha causado un gran impacto en mi forma de ver y entender la moda y  me gustaría compartir con tod@s vosotros esta experiencia.

Seguramente, al igual que yo, muchos de vosotros sois profesionales de  la moda  y  a la vez sois consumidores de moda. Alguna vez os habéis parado a pensar, ¿de qué materiales  esta hecho  ese vestido ó esos zapatos  que nos hemos comprado?  ó ¿cómo y dónde se han fabricado?

Nuestra mejor herramienta como consumidores, ya sea en moda u otros sectores, es hacernos estas preguntas antes de comprar. Saber que compramos, a quien se lo compramos, que impacto tiene lo que hemos comprado y a donde va a parar nuestro dinero.

Este video titulado La Historia de las Cosas nos hace pensar sobre todo esto.

Para ello, primero debemos hacer un trabajo de  reflexión y ser conscientes de si realmente vamos a la moda ó somos víctimas de la moda.

Este otro video detalla como la sociedad actual se ha  convertido en  víctima de la moda.

Preguntas como; ¿De qué materiales está hecha la prenda? ¿Dónde se fabrica? ¿Qué estándar de  calidad tiene?

¿Es necesario cambiar cada mes de prenda o mejor en invertir en una con mayor durabilidad en el tiempo? Dónde comprar, ¿en una gran cadena ó en un negocio artesano ó local?

Todas estas preguntas nos darán una visión sistemática y tendremos en cuenta todas las áreas de impacto para ser más conscientes de lo que compramos  y haciendo de la moda un mundo más sostenible.

Aunque aún queda mucho camino por andar para que moda y sostenibilidad vayan de la mano, existen muchas iniciativas de emprendedores que están contribuyendo a que la moda sea más sostenible.

Iniciativas como la marca brasileña Osklen que ha fabricado unas zapatillas con los restos de las escamas del pescado.

La marca gallega Equilicuá  que ha conseguido fabricar un chubasquero hecho con cascara de patata y que  se descompone una vez desechado convirtiéndose en un prenda biodegradable.

La marca Elvis & Kresse que fabrica bolsos de gama alta hechos con  la goma  desechable de  las mangueras de los bomberos.

Todas ellas son iniciativas que contribuyen a una mejora en la moda  y en la naturaleza, dando una segunda vida a un material que se había previamente desechado.

En producción muchos diseñadores apuestan por una moda más justa y sostenible invirtiendo en tejidos  como el algodón orgánico y en sistemas de producción eco eficientes como la utilización de lavadoras que van con oxigeno, ahorrando así una gran cantidad de recursos y contribuyendo a una mejora en la reducción de costes medioambientales y económicos.

Sin duda,  estas iniciativas  muestran otra cara de la moda, en la cual, sostenibilidad, comercio justo, diseño e innovación van unidos.

THE OTHER SIDE OF FASHION
During this weekend I had the opportunity to attend a course taught by Slow Fashion Spain.

Knowing the world of fashion since the sustainability and corporate social responsibility has been incredible.

This course has caused a great impact on my way to see and understand fashion and would like to share with you this experience.
Surely, like me, many of you are fashion professionals and consumers in fashion. Have you ever stopped to think, what kind of  material is made that dress or those shoes that we bought or how and where they have made ?
Our best tool as consumers, whether in fashion or other sectors, is to ask these questions before you buy. Knowing that we buy, from whom it was bought, what impact is what we have bought and where our money goes to.
This video called The Story of Stuff makes us think about all of this.

To do this, we must first make a work of reflection and be aware of whether or not we’re in fashion or fashion victims.
This other video details how society has become a fashion victim.

Questions like, it’s made the pledge? Where from? What is the quality standard? You need to change each month of a lien or better to invest in a more durable over time? Where to buy in a large chain or a local business or artisan?
All these questions will give us a systematic and take into account all areas of impact to be more aware of what we buy fashion and making a more sustainable world.
Although, there is still a long way to go for fashion and sustainability go hand in hand, there are many initiatives of entrepreneurs who are contributing to more sustainable fashion.

Initiatives such as the Brazilian brand Osklen that  made shoes with the remains of fish scales.

The galician  brand  Equilicuá make a waterproof shell made from potato and decomposes when discarded becoming a biodegradable garment.

Elvis & Kresse brand that manufactures high-end handbags made with disposable rubber hoses of firefighters.

These are all initiatives that contribute to an improvement in the fashion and nature, giving a second life to a material that was previously discarded.
In production, many designers opt for a more just and sustainable fashion by investing in fabrics like organic cotton production and eco-efficient systems such as the use of washers that go with oxygen, saving a lot of resources and contributing to an improvement in reducing environmental and economic costs.
Undoubtedly, these initiatives show another face of fashion, which, sustainability, fair trade, design and innovation go together.

ADEEM Y EL IMPULSO DE NUEVOS TALENTOS EN DISEÑO DE MODA. ADEEM AND THE PROMOTION OF NEW TALENTS IN FASHION DESIGN.

Feliz Año a tod@s! Ya estoy de vuelta despues de unas merecidas vacaciones navideñas.

Uno de mis propositos para este año 2012 es ayudar a impulsar nuevos talentos en la moda a través de este blog y en los diferentes proyectos en los que gestiono y participo.

En España tenemos un potencial increible en moda y diseño por eso quiero presentaros a  ADEEM (Asociacion de Diseñadores Españoles en Movimiento).Esta asociación sin ánimo de lucro quiere impulsar a  nuevos diseñadores de moda española a traves de los diferentes eventos y proyectos que desarrollan.

Y para que esto sea una realidad ADEEM  (Asociación de Diseñadores Españoles en Movimiento) y la Fundación Isabel Gemio convocan la final del I Concurso de Moda Solidaria ADEEM para el próximo Martes día 10 de Enero a las 20:00 horas en la Galería 28012 de Madrid. Dicho concurso supone una oportunidad para los nuevos talentos de la moda española de proporcionar repercusión a sus carreras ya que el ganador se convertirá en el director creativo de una nueva firma de moda que destinará todas sus ventas a la Fundación de la periodista Isabel Gemio.

Para bautizar a esta nueva firma cuentan con la inestimable ayuda del escritor y poeta Fernando Beltrán, autor, entre otros, de los nombres de Amena, Faunia, Keteke o La Casa Encendida. De su imaginación y talento ha salido la denominación de esta nueva marca que daremos a conocer durante el evento.

El concurso fue todo un éxito de participación ya que más de 50 jóvenes, promovidos por la unión de Moda con Solidaridad y por la oportunidad que se les presenta, decidieron inscribirse. Entre los que destacan diseñadores como Maria Ke Fisherman que ha desfilado en el Ego de Cibeles o Lola Cuello que participa en importantes pasarelas nacionales como el 080 de Barcelona o la Valencia Fashion Week.

El jurado que decidirá quién es el ganador de entre los quince finalistas está formado entre otros por la Directora de Telva Olga Ruiz, la Directora de Pasarela Cibeles Cuca Solana, Lorena Morlote, el fotógrafo de moda Luis Malibrán, Juncal Rivero, la estilista Bárbara Crespo, el diseñador de moda Daniel Rabaneda (ganador de la IX edición de la Valencia Fashion Week) y Miguel Ángel Leal en representación de Cristian Lay como patrocinador del evento.

Aunque la lista de invitados conocidos sigue abierta, contamos con la confirmación de rostros conocidos como Borja Thyssen y su mujer Blanca Cuesta, Mabel Lozano, Cecilia Gómez, Carmen Lomana, Nani Jiménez y su pareja Miguel Barberà, Julio Aparicio etc. Además de las ya nombradas Isabel Gemio y Juncal Rivero.

Yo asistiré como invitada a este evento asi que os contaré de primera mano la cronica  del desfile.

Sin duda será un exito dado el gran trabajo de ADEEM y del fin social de este evento, cuya recaudación irá destinada a la Fundación Isabel Gemio la cual hace una labor encomiable para  la investigacion de distrofias musculares y otras enfermedades raras. 

ADEEM AND THE  PROMOTION OF NEW TALENTS IN FASHION DESIGN.

Happy New Year to everyone! I’m back after a well deserved Christmas break.

One of my purposes for the year 2012 is to help promote new talents in fashion through this blog and the various projects we manage and participate.

In Spain we have an incredible potential in fashion and design so I want to introduce you to ADEEM (Association of Spanish Designers in Motion). This nonprofit association seeks to promote new Spanish fashion designers through various events and projects that develop.

And to make this a reality ADEEM (Association of Spanish Designers in Motion) and the Isabel Gemio Foundation announce the final of  I Adeem Solidarity Fashion Contest for next Tuesday January 10 at 20:00 pm in the gallery 28 012 of Madrid. This competition provides an opportunity for new talent in the Spanish fashion to provide impact their careers and the winner will become the new creative director of a fashion brand that all sales go to the Foundation of journalist Isabel Gemio.

To christen the new firm has the invaluable help of writer and poet Fernando Beltran, author, among others, the names of Amena, Faunia, Keteke or The House On. In his imagination and talent has gone out of the new brand name that we will announce during the event.

The contest was a big success in participation as more than 50 young people, promoted by the union of Fashion with Solidarity and the opportunity presented to them, they decided to enroll. Among which designers like Maria Ke Fisherman has paraded in the Ego de Cibeles and Lola Cuello gateways participating in important national and the 080 in Barcelona and the Valencia Fashion Week.

The jury that will decide who the winner from among the fifteen finalists is formed among others by the Director of Telva Olga Ruiz, Director of Cuca Solana Cibeles, Lorena Morlote, the fashion photographer Luis Malibran, Juncal Rivero, stylist Barbara Crespo,the fashion designer Daniel Rabaneda (winner of the ninth edition of the Valencia Fashion Week) and Miguel Angel Leal for Cristian Lay representing a sponsor of the event.

Although known guest list is still open, we have the confirmation of familiar faces as Borja Thyssen and his wife Blanca Cuesta, Mabel Lozano, Cecilia Gomez, Carmen Lomana, Nani Jimenez Miguel Barbera and his partner, Julio Aparicio etc. Besides those already named Isabel and Juncal Rivero Gemio.

I will attend as a guest at this event so I will tell you first-hand chronicle of the parade.

It will certainly be a success given the great work of social order and Adeem this event, whose proceeds will go to the Isabel Gemio Foundation which makes a commendable job for the investigation of muscular dystrophy and other rare diseases.

 

MI LISTA DE DESEOS PARA EL 2012.MY WISH LIST FOR 2012.

En menos de una semana dará comienzo la Navidad. Al año 2011 le quedan pocos días de vida y en breve dará comienzo un nuevo año.

Es un buen momento para hacer un análisis y balance de este año, de todas las cosas buenas y malas que nos han pasado y de ver cuales serán nuestros deseos para el 2012.

El blog Dress for Success se va de vacaciones navideñas hasta mediados de enero.

Por eso, en este último post de este año 2011 he querido hacer una lista de deseos para el 2012 y compartirlo con todos vosotros. Esta  lista,  de 12 deseos, no es una lista de cosas materiales, sino de cosas que están al alcance de todos y que por muy poco que nos esforcemos podemos conseguirlas.

1-    Salud. Que el 2012 sea un año de salud tanto mental como física para tod@s. Que no nos olvidemos que sin salud no hay nada más.

2-    Fuerza y motivación. Que el 2012 sea un año donde se encuentre fuerza y motivación para alcanzar todos nuestros sueños y proyectos.

3-    Valor y actitud. Que el 2012 sea el año de los valientes y de aquellos que están por despertar y que tengan un sueño por cumplir.

4-    Optimismo. Que le 2012 sea un año donde lo negro lo convirtamos en blanco y que empecemos a ver la botella llena y no medio vacia.

5-    Sencillez y humildad. Que el 2012 sea un año donde las cosas sencillas y la humildad ganen al egoísmo y al egocentrismo.

6-    Trabajo y Constancia.  Que el 2012 plantemos cara  a la crisis  marcándonos un objetivo, trabajando mucho y con constancia.

7-    Paz y serenidad. Que el 2012 sea un año en el cual las cosas se hagan con paz y serenidad.

8-    Amor.  Que el 2012 sea un año donde pongamos amor en todo lo que emprendamos, que cuidemos y valoremos lo que tenemos ya sea familia, pareja o amistades.

9-    Sinergias. Que el 2012 se creen sinergias y espíritu de equipo comunes para llevar a cabo todos nuestros sueños.

10-  Pasión. Que el 2012 mantengamos esa pasión por todo lo que hacemos.

11-  Consciencia. Que el 2012 sea un año para concienciarnos y que aunque sean tiempos difíciles seamos conscientes que de todo se sale.

12-  Felicidad. Que en el 2012 seamos más felices de lo que somos y que esa felicidad la compartamos con los que más queremos.

Esta lista de deseos puede alargarse  mucho más asi que espero vuestras aportaciones y comentarios.

In less than a week will start Christmas. The year 2011 will remain a few days old and soon will begin a new year.

It´s a good time to do an analysis and assessment of this year, of all things good and bad that have happened and see what will be our wishes for 2012.
Dress for Success blog goes on Christmas holidays until mid-January.
Therefore, in this last post of this year 2011 I wanted to make a wish list for 2012 and share it with you all. This list of 12 wishes, is not a list of material things, but things that are available to all and that we strive very little we can get them.

1 - Health. That 2012 be a year of both mental and physical health for everyone s. Let us not forget that without health there is nothing else.
2 – Strength and motivation. That 2012 be a year where they find strength and motivation to achieve all our dreams and projects.
3 – Value and attitude. That 2012 be the year of the brave and those who are awake and have a dream to fulfill.

4 – Optimism. That 2012 be a year where we turn it into black and white that we begin to see the glass half full and not empty.
5 – Simplicity and humility. That 2012 be a year where things simple and the humble win selfishness and egocentrism.
6 - Work and Constance. 2012 would stand up to the crisis marked a goal, working hard and consistently.
7 – Peace and serenity. That 2012 be a year in which things are done in peace and serenity.

8 – Love. That 2012 will be a year where we put love in everything we undertake and to care and appreciate what we have either, family or friends.
9 – Synergies. That 2012 will create synergies and common team spirit to accomplish our dreams.
10 – Passion. 2012 would keep the passion for everything we do.
11 – Consciousness. That 2012 be a year to raise awareness and that although difficult times we are all aware that it comes out.
12 – Happiness. That in 2012 we are happier than we are and share that happiness with which we love.

This wish list can be lengthened so much more await your input and feedback.

Desde mayo de 2011 podemos disfrutar de este espacio donde se ofrecen  exclusivos tratamientos faciales, masajes y relajación. Con las técnicas mas punteras procedentes de Thailandia, India e Indonesia y con productos 100% organicos es muy fácil relajarse en este paraíso.

Este palacio del bienestar tiene sedes en Bangkok y Sydney  y es muy habitual ver a más de una celebritie de la moda, el cine ó el deporte en sus instalaciones.

El concepto de spa organico esta muy presente en Pañpuri. Desde que entras por la puerta un agradable olor a limón cubre todo su ambiente.

Los tratamientos del cuerpo como los masajes combinan las técnicas del masaje tailandes, hindú, indonesio balines, el masaje chino Tui Na y el filipino Hilot.

Como yo  ya soy asidua, dentro de los diferentes tratamientos que existen  os recomiendo el masaje luz de luna de Mali. Este masaje, que se realiza en un hora, combina el masaje tailandes con la aromaterapia, el reiki y la acrupesión.

Antes del masaje os preguntarán que zonas queréis tratar más y el tipo de presión masaje que quereis (suave, media o fuerte).

Después y  previo al masaje,con un trato siempre exquisito,  podréis disfrutar de un lavado de pies con árbol de té orgánico y exfoliación incluida con aceite de hierba limón.

El aceite 100% orgánico que utiliza mi masajista Kris es el que yo elijo personalmente y es el  de jazmin, que me encanta, pero teneis aceites como el de hierba limón, rosa y geranio ó mandarina  que os  dejaran como nuevos.

Pañpuri Organic Spa realiza también tratamientos faciales tanto para hombre como para mujer y  packs de masaje y tratamiento facial. Sus productos y aceites pueden ser adquiridos allí mismo. The organic spa concept is very present in Pañpuri. Since you walk through the door with a pleasant lemon scent covers your entire environment.

Body treatments such as massage combines massage techniques Thai, Indian, Indonesian, Balinese, Tui Na massage, Chinese and Filipino Hilot.

Since I am a fan, within the different treatments available, I recommend the massage moonlight Mali. This massage is done in an hour. A thai massage combined with aromatherapy, reiki and acrupesión.

DISEÑO, CREATIVIDAD Y ACTOS SOLIDARIOS. DESIGN, CREATIVITY AND SOLIDARITY EVENTS.

 

Esta semana ha sido un maratón contínuo de eventos, presentación de colecciones y asistencia a actos solidarios. Todos los años, antes de que empiece la Navidad, parece que todos los diseñadores y marcas de moda se ponen de acuerdo para organizar  outlets, actos solidarios y presentación de colecciones.

El diseñador Eugenio Loarce ha presentado esta semana su colección para la próxima primavera verano 2012. Inspirada en Mexico el diseñador ha mostrado una colección donde el negro, el dorado y los estampados florales  formarán  parte del fondo de armario para la próxima primavera verano 2012.

Lollipops también presentó su colección primavera verano para este año 2012. La colección basada en colores de la naturaleza con un lado salvaje.

Los colores tierra se entremezclan con  colores como el naranja, verde musgo para transportarnos a la selva.

Su colección para la noche esta basada en el color negro. Me encantaron toda la línea de zapatos ya que dan un toque muy elegante y son ideales  para las noches de primavera.

La marca de accesorios y joyería Follie Follie junto con la Fundación SOS  organizo esta semana un acto muy solidario. Coincidiendo con el dia de la infancia presentó  2 piezas de colección, un reloj y una pulsera solidaria.

Las  ventas irán destinadas a la escuela infantil que tiene la Fundacion SOS  en Senegal,la cual realiza un trabajo excelente todos los años para ayudar a los más desfavorecidos; los niños.

En el evento también se presentó un calendario solidario el cual participaron varias personalidades como la Duquesa de Alba,Maria Leon, Paloma Lago, Manuel Benitez el Cordobes y muchos más.

Coincidiendo con esto la marca francesa Euphorie aterrizó en Madrid para la presentación de unos cofres de lujo.

Desde fines de semana en hoteles y spas de lujo, hasta una cena o cocktail en sitios de 5 estrellas. Un regalo original y personalizado para estas navidades.

Para terminar la semana nada mejor que ir a un brunch con la diseñadora Carmen Hallfer. La diseñadora  organizo una exposición 30 vestidos, 30 historias donde mostraba 30 trajes diseñados por ella y que pertenecían a sus clientas.

Carmen fue la mejor de las anfitrionas ya que personalmente te explicaba el proceso y diseño de cada traje. Ella misma confecciona todo y son vestidos hechos a medida.

This week has been a continuous marathon of events, presentation of collections and assistance to  solidarity events. Every year, before the start of  Christmas, seems that all designers and fashion brands agree to arrange outlets, acts of solidarity and presentation of collections.
The designer Eugenio Loarce this week presents his collection for spring summer 2012. Mexico was the inspiration of the collection of this designer. Eugenio  showed a collection where the black, gold and floral prints will form part of the wardrobe for spring summer 2012.

Earthy colors are mixed with colors like orange, green  and transported to the jungle.
The collection for the night is based on the  black color.I loved the whole line of shoes as they give a very elegant and are perfect for spring evenings.

The brand of accessories and jewelry Follie Follie with SOS Foundation organized this week a very supportive act. Coinciding with the Children’s Day presented 2 pieces of collection, a watch and a bracelet solidarity.

 The sales will go to the nursery that has the SOS Foundation in Senegal, which does an excellent job every year to help the most disadvantaged: the children.

EL MADRID MÁS GLAM & COOL. MADRID, GLAM & COOL.

Madrid es una ciudad que sorprende. Da igual el tiempo que lleves viviendo, si eres de aquí ó acabas de llegar, la ciudad te envuelve en un aura en la cual no te da tiempo ni a aburrirte ni a estar parada.

Este fin de semana me propuse traeros a través de los diferentes eventos a los que asisto un pedacito de ese Madrid glamuroso, exquisito, lujoso pero también con un toque cool.

Para empezar, nada mejor que una cita en el Hotel Palace de Madrid.

En pleno corazón de la capital se encuentra este hotel de 5 estrellas y unos de los más lujosos del mundo.

 Y que mejor lugar que el Hotel Palace para organizar un Bruch y un Showroom de Alta Costura para novias. El espacio elegido fue en la Suite Real del hotel, en la cual se puede dormir por 5000€ la noche .

 En este espacio se reunieron firmas como Manolo Blahnik, Dior, La Perla, La Reina Oca, Sweet Design, Pañpuri Organic Spa y varios diseñadores de alta costura de novia como la diseñadora Isabel  Zapardiez, De Arroyo Atelier ó La Tua Pelle.

Todo un universo de lujo y glamour para futuras novias que vayan a casarse.

Cada habitación de la suite real estaba reservada para que cada marca invitada la decorara según su estilo y gusto.

La Reina Oca, agencia que organiza eventos y bodas  fue la encargada de decorar el comedor de la suite. En este espacio reservado para ellos dieron una imagen muy cool y vintage a la estancia, siempre respetando el estilo del hotel.

Esta empresa es ideal para aquellos novios que quieran celebrar una boda diferente, a medida y de una forma original. Ellos se encargan de todo desde el catering, flores, regalos, decoración, etc. Además también se encargan de organizar eventos para empresas, marcas y diferentes celebraciones como cumpleaños, etc.

En el mismo espacio estaba la empresa Sweet Design, una empresa la cual hace las delicias de cualquier enamorado del dulce y el buen gusto. Muffins de gominolas, bandejas de dulces en forma de sushi. Un toque dulce para cualquier evento que quieras celebrar.

A unos pocos metros se encontraba la diseñadora de alta costura de novias Isabel Zapardiez la cual me enseño su  colección de novias con vestidos de diferentes estilos pero todos con el toque personal de Isabel. Una gran mujer la cual tiene un estilo propio del cual no se quiere desprender . Su atelier se encuentra en pleno centro de San Sebastian, allí acuden novias desde cualquier parte del mundo para que Isabel las vista. En Madrid podeis encontrarla en el espacio Enfant Terrible en Nuñez de Balboa 30.

Siguiendo la ruta de las diseñadoras tuve el placer de conocer al equipo de Arroyo Atelier. Sus diseños de novias son únicos y exclusivos. No disponen de una colección sino que se basan en la exclusividad para crear vestidos únicos a sus clientas.

En la habitación contigua estaba todo el equipo de la Tua Pelle. Su atelier se encuentra en la calle Sagasta 26 . En su espacio dan rienda a su creatividad e imaginación y crean piezas que parecen obras de arte.  Si eres una novia atrevida y quieres un vestido original este es tu sitio.

Para ese día tan especial la marca de ropa interior La Perla mostro en un ala de la suite parte de su colección La Perla Bridal. Encajes, sedas y rasos se combinaban para dar rienda a una mujer sensual ,femenina , sexy pero elegante.

El ala  oeste de la suite estaba dedicada al cuidado y bienestar. Alli  estaba  la marca cosmética Dior en donde podías probar  los maquillajes mas innovadores para ese día tan especial.

Al lado, se encontraban todo el equipo de Pañpuri Organic Spa, el primer spa organico  de Europa y reconocido  con la categoría de 6 estrellas gran lujo. El spa esta situado en Lagasca 90, en el podéis encontrar las terapias 100% naturales y técnicas de masaje de influencia oriental y tailandesa combinado  con productos orgánicos de excelente calidad. En los masajes se aplican técnicas de acupresión y reiki. La terapeuta me invitó a  un masaje de 10 minutos y la verdad es que la sensación es increible.

Al día siguiente el Hotel Palace celebro un Opera Bruch con un desfile con los diferentes diseñadores, los cuales mostraron sus diseños acompañados del mejor opera en vivo.

Después de este evento, nada mejor que acabar el fin de semana visitando a uno de los maestros de la moda, el diseñador Yves Saint Laurent.

La Fundación Mapfre ha realizado una exposición del diseñador en el cual muestra toda su evolución desde sus comienzos en Dior hasta sus últimos días y como llego a crear su propia marca e imperio.

La exposición muestra más de 100 vestidos del diseñador desde su origen hasta nuestros días. Junto a ellos se muestran sus bocetos y las telas que el mismo Yves Saint Laurent elegía para sus creaciones.

Saliendo de la exposición no sé porqué extraña razón empiezo a echar de menos Paris y a recordar cuando estuve allí, el encanto de la ciudad, sus museos, su gente. En ese momento  viene a mi mente un pequeño lugar en Madrid el cual te transporta a Paris. Decido ir a La Rue Creperie, un  pequeño café en el corazón de Madrid y que te trasporta a la ciudad de la luz.

Un pequeño pedacito de Paris donde se pueden degustar los famosos crepes y macarons.

Además tienen productos típicos de la capital francesa como chocolates y dulces.

Un punto y final perfecto para un fin de semana de lo más glamuroso y cool.

This weekend I decided to bring you through the different events that I attend the Madrid a bit glamorous, exquisite, luxurious but also a cool touch.
For starters, nothing better than an appointment at the Hotel Palace in Madrid.

In the heart of the capital lies this 5 stars and one of the most luxurious in the world.
 And what better place than the Hotel Palace to arrange a Brunch and a Bridal High Couture Showroom. The space chosen was in the Royal Suite Hotel, where you can sleep for 5000€/night.

 In this space, collected signatures as Manolo Blahnik, Dior, La Perla, La Reina Oca, Sweet Design, Pañpuri Organic Spa and several couture designers such as bridal designer Isabel Zapardiez, De Arroyo Atelier or La Tua Pelle.
A world of luxury and glamour for brides to be married.
Every room in the Royal suite was reserved for each brand’s guest decorate according to your style and taste.
The Reina Oca, an agency which organizes events and weddings was commissioned to decorate the dining room of the suite. This space reserved for them got a very cool and vintage image to stay, always respecting the style of the hotel.

This company is ideal for those brides who want a wedding different and as an original. They handle everything from the catering, flowers, gifts, decorations, etc.. In addition also responsible for organizing events for companies, brands and different celebrations such as birthdays, etc.
In the same space was Sweet Design Company, a company which is a delight for any lover of sweet taste. Muffins Jellies, trays of sweets in the form of sushi. A sweet touch for any event you want to celebrate.

A few feet away was haute couture designer bridal Isabel Zapardiez which showed me her collection of bridal dresses in different styles, but all with the personal touch of Isabel. A great woman which has its own style which is not to fall off. Her studio is located in the heart of San Sebastian, where brides come from anywhere in the world to Isabel the eye. In Madrid you can find  her on Enfant Terrible Showroom  Nuñez de Balboa 30.

Following the route of the designers had the pleasure of meeting the team of Arroyo  Atelier. Their  designs are unique and exclusive girlfriends. They do not have a collection but are based on exclusivity to create unique garments to clients.

In the next room was the entire team Tua Pelle. Their  studio is located on the street Sagasta 26. In the space given rein to their creativity and imagination and create pieces that look like works of art. If you want a wedding dress bold and original this is your place.

For this special occasion lingerie brand La Perla showed in a wing of the suite of his collection La Perla Bridal. Lace, silks and satins combined to give vent to a sensual, feminine, sexy yet elegant.

The west wing of the suite was dedicated to the care and wealthness. There was the Dior cosmetics brand, where you could test the most innovative makeup for that special day.
Beside it were the whole team of Pañpuri Organic Spa, the first organic spa in Europe and recognized in the category of 6 star luxury. The spa is located in Lagasca 90, you can find the 100% natural therapies and massage techniques of oriental influence and Thai organic products combined with excellent quality. In the massage techniques are applied acupressure and reiki. The therapist invited me to a massage of 10 minutes and the truth is that the feeling is incredible.

The next day the Palace Hotel held a parade with a Opera Bruch with various designers, who showed their designs accompanied by the best live opera.

After this event, nothing better to end the weekend visiting one of the masters of fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent.

Mapfre Foundation has made an exposition in which the designer shows its evolution from its beginnings at Dior until his last days and as I get to create your own brand and empire.

The exhibition features over 100 designer gowns from the beginning until today. Joining them are sketches and fabrics that the same Yves Saint Laurent chose for their creations.

Leaving the exhibit ,I do not know why, but I start to miss Paris and remember when I was there, the charm of the city, its museums, its people. At the time comes to my mind a little place in Madrid which transports you to Paris. I decided to go  La Rue Creperie, a small cafe in the heart of Madrid and transports you to the city of light.

A little bit of Paris where you can taste the famous macarons and crepes.

They also have typical products of the French capital as chocolates and candies.

A perfect and final point for a glamouros and cool weekend.

PORTUGAL FASHION: EL NUEVO “START UP”. PORTUGAL FASHION: THE NEW “START UP”

Bajo el lema de Start Up arrancaba la semana pasada la Portugal Fashion.  24 desfiles, 14 performance de moda y un concurso de jóvenes diseñadores a nivel europeo daban salida a esta 29 edición.

Este año tuve la oportunidad de asistir como invitada y representante de España para cubrir los desfiles.

Durante 4 días la ciudad de Oporto se vistió con sus mejores galas para recibir a los diseñadores más punteros de Portugal.

El evento tuvo lugar en Alfandega Do Porto, en el edificio de la antigua aduana de la ciudad de Oporto, un palacio histórico y perfecto para organizar una de las pasarelas más creativas de Portugal.

Grandes personalidades  de la  high society portuguesa, celebrities y prensa internacional se reunieron en este espacio donde se presentaban las tendencias y colecciones para la próxima Primavera Verano 2012.

Las propuestas de los diseñadores portugueses para la Primavera Verano 2012  se basaron dos puntos importantes, la creatividad y la calidad.

Diseñadores como Teresa Martins de TM Collection nos mostraban que el diseño no está reñido con la practicidad. Su desfile comenzó con un aire gregoriano y termino con una estética con aires naturales y campestres.

Otros diseñadores más conservadores  como Hugo Costa nos mostraban una colección sobria y donde se hacia una crítica a la religión judeo- cristiana.

Alves Goncalves y Ana Salazar marcaron el punto de la elegancia y la femineidad en sus desfiles. Presentaron a una mujer muy sensual y sofisticada sobre la pasarela.

El sábado fue el turno de los diseñadores portugueses de renombre, Miguel Vieira, Felipe Oliveira, Dielmar, Luis Onofre y Fátima Lopes. Todos ellos  dieron  ese toque glamuroso y de grandeza  a la Portugal Fashion. Sus propuestas, como era de esperar, siempre impecables.

Miguel Vieira nos sorprendió a todos comenzando el desfile  presentando su colección de ropa para niño. Prendas ideales para los más pequeños de la casa.

Continuó con su línea de caballero y señora la cual se marcaba el estilo de este diseñador portugués, donde elegancia y el  buen gusto van de la mano.

Felipe Oliveira nos envolvió en vestidos en forma de túnica, con una gran acertada combinación de colores para la próxima primavera verano.

Dielmar , puso el toque elegante presentando sus propuestas mas innovadoras para hombre, pero siempre respetando el estilo de la marca,que lleva desde 1965 confeccionando trajes de caballero.

Luis Onofre sorprendió con una colección de zapatos divina donde se alternaban materiales preciosos con plumas.

Fátima Lopes, como siempre, tan atrevida y rebelde, sorprendió al público a  la hora de presentar su colección.Sus propuestas fueron más sencillas, pero  sin olvidar  su espíritu y esencia rebelde.

El domingo fue el turno para los jóvenes diseñadores. La organización de la Portugal Fashion organizó  un concurso de jóvenes diseñadores internacionales, en el cual participaban jóvenes talentos de diferentes escuelas de moda de España, Francia, Belgica, Italia y Portugal. Entre los 15 aspirantes un jurado compuesto por diferentes profesionales del mundo de la moda eligieron a 5 ganadores con diferentes premios. La ganadora fue la diseñadora francesa Bertille Goux la cual fue doblemente premiada.

Durante los 4 días en los que tuvieron lugar los  desfiles, la organización de la Portugal Fashion aposto por la creatividad y por los jóvenes talentos, se alternaron desfiles de diseñadores portugueses reconocidos y jóvenes promesas del diseño.

PORTUGAL FASHION: THE NEW  “START UP”

Under the banner of Start Up last week pulled the Portugal Fashion. 24 shows, 14 performances of fashion and a competition for young european designers were out of this 29th edition.
This year I had the opportunity to attend as a guest and representative of Spain to cover the shows.
During 4 days the city of Oporto dressed in their finery to welcome the leading designers in Portugal.
The event took place in Alfandega Do Porto, in the old customs building in the city of Oporto, a historic palace and perfect for organizing one of the most creative gateways Portugal.

Great personalities Portuguese high society, celebrities and international media gathered in this space which presented the trends and collections for next Spring Summer 2012.
The proposals of the Portuguese designers for the Spring Summer 2012 were based in  two important points, creativity and quality.
Designers like Teresa Martins of  TM Collection  showed us that the design does not conflict with practicality. Her parade began with a gregorian air and ended with a natural aesthetic and rustic air.

Other more conservative designers like Hugo Costa showed us a collection and where to sober criticism of the Judeo-Christian religion.

Ana Salazar and Alves Goncalves marked the point of elegance and femininity in their fashion shows. They presented a very sensual woman on the runaway.

Saturday was the turn of the renowned Portuguese designer Miguel Vieira, Felipe Oliveira, Dielmar, Luis Onofre and Fatima Lopes. They all gave the glamorous touch of grandeur to the Portugal Fashion. Their proposals, as expected, always impeccable.
Miguel Vieira surprised everyone by presenting the parade starting his collection of children’s clothes.

Continuing with its line of men’s and women which marked the style of this Portuguese designer where elegance and good taste go hand in hand.

Felipe Oliveira dresses wrapped in a tunic and a large and successful combination of colors for the next spring summer.

Dielmar put the elegant touch to present their most innovative ideas for men, but always respecting the style of the brand that has since 1965 putting together men’s suits.

Luis Onofre surprised with a divine shoes collection where precious materials alternated with feathers.

 
Fatima Lopes always so naughty and rebellious , present their collection surprised the audience with an easier collection but which reflected her rebellious spirit and essence.

Sunday was the turn of young designers. The organization of the Portugal Fashion organized a competition of young international designers, with the participation of young talents from various fashion schools in Spain, France, Belgium, Italy and Portugal. Among the 15 candidates by a panel of professional different fashion chose 5 winners with prizes. The winner was the French designer  Bertille Goux,which was doubly rewarded.

During the 4 days when parades took place, the organization of the Portugal Fashion apostolate for creativity and young talent, alternated parades young Portuguese designers recognized and new coming designers.

LA ELEGANCIA DE UNA BODA GALLEGA. THE ELEGANCE OF A WEDDING IN GALICIA.

Era la primera vez que me invitaban  a una boda gallega y si tuviera que definirla en una única palabra sería espectacular.

Las bodas gallegas son únicas, su ambiente, su calidez y su estilo son peculiares.

Nada para empezar que una entrada en la ceremonia con gaita y banda incluida. Las notas de música con orígenes celtas  forman parte del espíritu gallego.

El ambiente y puesta en escena también es importante. Un ambiente donde los elementos forman un conjunto en sí mismo.

Los protagonistas del evento los novios son las estrellas. El estilismo para los novios es muy importante porque ese día son el centro de todas las miradas.  El  lema  es menos es mas.

Un vestido de novia con líneas sencillas y un tocado tipo años 40 pueden dar ese toque elegante  y femenino.

Para el novio, un frac es el símbolo de la elegancia, complementos como chaleco y corbata forman parte también de esa combinación.

Los looks de los invitados también es importante. Vestidos ,tocados y bolsos  en tejidos y líneas puras aumentan el glamour en la ceremonia.

Con respecto a la gastronomía si todavía no habéis ido a Galicia o no conocéis las delicias de la comida gallega no  os desvelare nada porque tendréis que ir.

THE ELEGANCE OF A WEDDING IN GALICIA

It was the first time I was invited to a wedding Galician and if I had to define in one word would be spectacular.

Galician weddings are unique, their environment, their warmth and style are unique.

Nothing to start an entry in the ceremony with bagpipes and band included. The notes of music with Celtic origins are part of the Galician spirit.

The atmosphere and staging is also important. An environment  where the elements form a set in itself.

The protagonists of the event the couple are the stars. The styling for the couple is very important because that day is the center of attention. The motto is less is more.

A wedding dress with simple lines and a 40′s headdress can give that elegant and feminine touch.

For the groom, a frac is a symbol of elegance, accessories like vest and tie are also part of that combination.

 
The looks of the guests is also important. Dresses, dresses and handbags in fabrics and clean lines enhance the glamor in the ceremony.

With respect to the food if you have not yet gone to Galicia or do not know the delights of Galician food desvelare anything because you do not will have to go.
